Is there a linux version planned? Cayra looks pretty awesome and
better than anything that I have seen for any platform yet.
It should be possible to compile it with "mono" if I'm not wrong (I'm not much into coding...).
Mono is not OK for Cayra as we use .Net 3.0 which dont have plans for mono project.
We plan to make web version of Cayra based on Flash, but we can't tell you the release date yet. Soon we will introduce Cayra LJ friends viewer on Flash.
Desktop version of Cayra for Linux is not in recent plans.
Thanks for link! I'm out of date :)
But this (http://www.mono-project.com/Olive) make me think it's to early to use it for Cayra :( We need full WPF support.
Сlarifying my previous post: We will make almost full version of Cayra in Flash. So you will be able to run it on Linux. The Internet connection is only restriction.
Perhaps a Silverlight version will be easier for you to develop than a Flash version since you can possibly reuse much of the WPF code you have. Just a thought.
Ah too bad, but I'm sure they will catch up soon :D
When mono is up to date, will it be possible to take the source code
and just press "compile"? It wont be that easy right?
Yep, i read the Flash-thingy. Although I'm using flash myself for my website, I find it pretty clumsey in some parts. I'm interessted in how good the
source can be ported to flash.
"Just press compile" would be a dream :) It will take some time anyway, but i can't say how much for now.
Today we introduce Flash version of our LiveJournal friends viewer: http://lj.cayra.net/ You can play with it and write us if you have some troubles running Flash plugin at Linux.
We've used Silverlight 1.0 which doesn't allow us to use С# code, so it's not much longer to translate to Flash.
Hi Sergey!
Damn, I thought its not that easy ;)
I tried the Flash Version but I cant seem to do much.
I can see a lot of names and their relations in a mindmap tree, but thats it.
Me too, i'd like a linux

Mono and Net 3.0
Hello Sergey!
As far as I read, net 3.0 is already partly implemented:
