Diagram SDK
Recently we've received several requests from people who want to use Cayra diagram engine in their applications. So far we haven't planned to provide such capability, but now we will take this into consideration. To make a decision we need more information. So if you have any interest in subj. please answer following questions:
1. In what kind of application are you planning to use Cayra?
(mind maps/data representation/or any other, business/personal, free/commercial/in company, etc.)
2. What features that are not implemented yet do you want or may want Cayra to have?
3. What platform are you interested in? Only .Net or other (Java, Flash)?
4. Do you need full MVC graph representation engine or just a view layer?
5. Are you ready to pay, and if yes how much, for such solution?
6. Are you using any solutions of such type at the moment?
ASAP availability
I think one of the main issues is, when the sdk will be available.
For example it is very important to have an sdk this month.
But to answer qor questions:
1. Buisness Application
2. Additional Onmouseover and Onclick Detail infos on Node.
3. Only .Net
4. Where is the difrence ?
I would like to input a given XML String with containing Node and Connection Data. Also Styling informations.
Then the content should be presented in a animated and navigateable way. I will not add additonial nodes or remove them.
Form my point of understanding this would be a viewer.
5. I would be ready to pay, 20 - 50 $ without support. More does not make sense, because professional components with support cost less thant 100 $
6. Mindjet Mindmanager.
I think the best way would be to offer a Source code solution in the beginning for a low price (30 $) with no support and no right for resell. So everyone can tailor the viewer to his needs and use it, if needed.
In the next step I would suggest that you build a component library, where user can integrate viusally (support for MS blend or other IDE's) the Mindmap in there application.
But again, I think time is a big issue.
